# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The biscuits stay tender and light, never heavy or doughy like some cobblers get
  • It comes together in under an hour but tastes like you spent all afternoon on it
  • That moment when the hot fruit bubbles up through the golden topping is pure magic
02 -
  • Dont skip the cooling time. I know its tempting to dive right in, but the fruit filling needs those minutes to thicken up slightly.
  • If your strawberries are super sweet, reduce the sugar to 1/2 cup. Tart berries need the full amount.
03 -
  • Sprinkle coarse sugar over the dough before baking for extra crunch and sparkle
  • Mix berries or add sliced rhubarb in spring for wonderful flavor variations
