01 - Wash the lemon thoroughly and slice into rounds or wedges.
02 - Fill two glasses with ice cubes.
03 - Place several lemon slices into each glass over the ice.
04 - Pour cold water over the lemon slices and ice.
05 - Stir gently; add honey or agave syrup if desired and mix until dissolved.
06 - Add fresh mint leaves if using and serve immediately.
