Pineapple Peach Agua Fresca (Printable)

A light, sweet blend of pineapple and peaches perfect for summer hydration.

# What You Need:

→ Fruit

01 - 2 cups fresh pineapple, peeled and diced
02 - 2 cups ripe peaches, pitted and sliced (about 3 medium peaches)

→ Liquid

03 - 4 cups cold water
04 - 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)

→ Sweetener

05 - 2-4 tablespoons agave syrup or granulated sugar (to taste)

→ Garnish (optional)

06 - Ice cubes
07 - Fresh mint leaves
08 - Peach or pineapple slices

# Directions:

01 - Combine the diced pineapple, sliced peaches, cold water, and lime juice in a blender. Blend on high until completely smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
02 - Taste the mixture and add agave syrup or sugar as desired. Blend briefly for 10-15 seconds to incorporate the sweetener.
03 - Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher. Press firmly with a spatula to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the pulp or reserve for smoothies.
04 - Refrigerate the agua fresca for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld. Serve over ice cubes and garnish with fresh mint leaves and fruit slices if desired.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • It's naturally hydrating and ridiculously refreshing without that cloying artificial sweetness you get from store-bought drinks
  • The balance of tart lime against sweet fruit makes every sip feel like a tiny vacation
02 -
  • Don't skip the straining step unless you prefer a thicker, more smoothie-like texture with fiber throughout
  • The flavors actually deepen and become more complex after resting in the fridge for a few hours
03 -
  • Use ripe but still firm peaches, as overripe ones can make the drink taste slightly fermented
  • If your pineapple seems especially tart, you may need the full 4 tablespoons of sweetener
