# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • It takes exactly five minutes from refrigerator to glass, which means you have zero excuses for skipping breakfast.
  • The color alone is worth making it, a deep magenta that makes you feel like you are drinking something far more indulgent than a healthful blend of fruit and yogurt.
02 -
  • Frozen berries will give you a dramatically thicker smoothie, almost milkshake territory, which is incredible if that is what you are after.
  • A handful of spinach blends in completely invisible but turns the color a slightly murkier purple, so do not panic if it looks different than expected.
03 -
  • Freeze your overripe strawberries on a sheet tray before tossing them into a bag, and you will never need ice cubes again while achieving maximum berry flavor.
  • A pinch of salt sounds wrong in a smoothie but it amplifies the natural sweetness of the fruit in a way that will make you wonder why you never tried it before.
